Thornton has been invited to appear before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology on June 3, 2021 in his capacity as President of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, to address Bill C-253: An Act to amend the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.
