Bio
Denna is an associate in the Restructuring and Insolvency group at Thornton Grout Finnigan LLP.
He maintains a broad restructuring and litigation practice, with experience acting for court-appointed receivers and trustees, debtor companies, and a range of creditor interests. He has worked on matters involving real estate insolvencies, film financing structures, and digital asset recovery, and is regularly engaged in complex proceedings involving priority disputes, enforcement of secured debts, and commercial fraud. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
Denna holds a JD/MBA from the University of Toronto and leverages his business training to provide strategic, commercially grounded legal advice. Known for his thoughtful advocacy and practical approach to problem-solving, Denna works closely with clients to craft creative, outcome-focused solutions.
Outside of his practice, Denna maintains an active interest in public interest advocacy and has contributed to initiatives supporting access to legal education and recognition of posthumous licensing by the Law Society of Ontario.
